Queens of Pefferville is a brief look into the lives of a group of gay men from the Pefferville community of East London. The piece is set during a week that the men hold a drag show in an attempt to raise funds for an HIV/AIDS centre in their community. The men use their unique identities to bring the community together and raise funds that will help ease the pain of people infected with HIV/AIDS. Through this they show that by setting apart ones differences and coming together we have a better chance at controlling the virus.
